SINGLE ORIGIN: an exceptional region in Ecuador

ORIGINE UNIQUE : une région exceptionnelle en Équateur

CONVERGENCE OF ECOSYSTEMS

Our region is located at the convergence of three distinct ecosystems: the Pacific coast, the Andes mountains, and the Amazon rainforest. This fusion of ecosystems creates microclimates within very short distances.

MICROCLIMATES

In this same region, it is therefore possible to quickly go from snow-capped mountains to very humid areas and other drier regions, all grouped together within a few hours' distance.

BIODIVERSITY HOTSPOT

A biodiversity hotspot is characterized by an exceptionally high concentration of endemic species, meaning species found nowhere else, which are simultaneously threatened by habitat destruction. These areas are of paramount importance for conservation due to their essential contribution to the preservation of global biodiversity.

There are approximately 36 biodiversity hotspots in the world. The one we are discussing today is of major importance because, among these 36 hotspots, it stands out as having one of the highest biodiversities per square meter.

PLANTATION AND ECOSYSTEM

It is within this exceptional location that our coffee thrives. For 15 years now, we have developed an agricultural model that allows coffee beans to benefit from this exceptional environment, thus guaranteeing their richness and quality. This model also allows us to protect and enrich this unique and threatened ecosystem.
